The LUD of Warren collects garbage and recycling every Wednesday.
Permitted waste pickup includes 2 bags of household garbage or yard waste, and unlimited recycling.
**Note that during the months of May and October, unlimited yard waste is permitted.

Weekly Waste & Recycling Reminders
Weekly Pickup Day: Wednesdays
Household Garbage:
- Limit of 2 bags per household per week
- Extra bags require a $2.00 surcharge sticker (must be affixed)
Recycling:
- No limit
- Only approved materials accepted (see below)
October - Unlimited Yard Waste Pickup!
Every Wednesday in October, residents can place out unlimited yard waste for curbside collection.
Accepted Yard Waste:
- Grass clippings
- Leaves
- Small tree branches (up to 1 inch in diameter and 36 inches in length)
Important: Yard waste must be placed in PAPER yard waste bags only.
Plastic bags will not be collected.
Paper yard waste bags are available at most grocery, hardware, and home improvement stores.
What Can Be Recycled (No Limit)
The following recyclable materials are accepted under the MMSM Municipal Funding Program:
Paper Products:
- Newspapers & flyers
- Magazines & catalogues
- Telephone directories
- Other printed paper
- Boxboard (e.g. cereal, cracker boxes)
- Corrugated cardboard
Containers:
- Gable top containers (e.g. milk, cream cartons)
- Aseptic containers (e.g. juice boxes, soup cartons)
- Aluminum food & beverage cans
- Steel (tin) food & beverage cans
- Glass food & beverage containers (e.g. bottles and jars)
Plastics (Household only):
- Plastic containers labeled #1 (PET), #2 (HDPE), #4, #5, or #7
- Examples: water bottles, detergent jugs, yogurt containers, shampoo bottles
Not Accepted: Plastic bags, Styrofoam, hazardous waste, and non-recyclable plastics
