The LUD of Warren collects garbage and recycling every Wednesday.
Permitted waste pickup includes 2 bags of household garbage or yard waste, and unlimited recycling. Note that during the months of May and October, unlimited yard waste is permitted.

RM of Woodlands Waste Transfer Station “Swap & Shop”
Purpose: The Woodlands Waste Transfer Station Swap & Shop allows for RM of Woodlands residents to drop off items that are still useable but no longer needed by the owner. These items are made available to any RM of Woodlands resident who would like to re-use the items. The idea is to reduce the disposal of good, solid items.
Examples of these acceptable items include:
Bikes, coffee tables, benches, outdoor children’s toys, and other good household items.
Examples of items that are not acceptable:
Couches, mattresses, stuffed chairs, linens, propane tanks, car seats
1. OPERATIONS & GENERAL GUIDELINES
a) The RM of Woodlands shall not be held liable or responsible for any damages or injuries suffered due to the use of the Swap & Shop, nor the acquisition or use or products, goods or materials obtained from the Swap & Shop.
b) The Swap & Shop is open only during the regular operating hours of the Woodlands Waste Transfer Station. Items being dropped off are to be placed in an orderly fashion to ensure there are no safety or tripping hazards created.
c) Items taken from the Swap & Shop are for personal use only and are not to be re-sold, as this is intended for all residents to benefit from equally.
d) Acceptable items may vary depending on space and other considerations. Acceptance is at the discretion of the Transfer Station Attendants. Refused items are to be disposed of accordingly by the resident if they are refused.
e) When visiting the Swap & Shop, at no time can vehicles be parked in a way that blocks any part of the Waste Transfer Station Operations and must move if requested to do so by the Transfer Station Attendants.
f) Items are on a first come, first served basis – no items shall be held or reserved.
g) Items will be cycled through on a bi-weekly basis to avoid overstock accumulation. Cycled goods will be disposed of appropriately.
2. ITEMS ALLOWED OR RESTRICTED
The Swap & Shop is open to donation of items that are safe, hygienic, and not broken. Items must be functional, contain all necessary parts, and be in working order.
What is acceptable?
- Books, large children’s toys (must be plastic/solid)
- Household furniture or patio furniture (free of pillows/fabrics)
- Household items and small appliances
- Bicycles, outdoor toys
- Yard tools, lawn mowers
- Useful metal or small engine items
- Clean lumber
- Televisions, computers, DVD’s, CD’s
What is not acceptable?
- Clothing, blankets
- Small children’s toys (teething toys, small legos or other small loose items)
- Fabric covered furniture (couches, chairs)
- Mattresses
- Non-working appliances
- Child car seats (regardless of condition/expiry, NO exceptions)
- Hazardous or restricted materials
- Food or liquids
*The Woodlands Waste Transfer Station reserves the right to refuse any item at their discretion, if you are not sure whether item is acceptable, please check with staff*
3. DISCLAIMERS
a) Items in the Swap & Shop carry no warranty or guarantee and will be taken at one's own risk. The RM of Woodlands assumes no liability or responsibility for any items removed.
b) Persons removing any item to do so at their own risk and shall not hold the RM of Woodlands liable for any problems that may occur as a result or removing or reusing the item.
