Local Urban District of Warren

The Local Urban District (LUD) of Warren Committee is a committee of Council consisting of one member of Council and a maximum of three members elected by voters of the local urban district.

The mandate of the LUD Committee is to promote the well-being and interest of the LUD of Warren as a whole. The Committee is committed to ensuring that the services are delivered at a level and in a manner that meets the expectations of the LUD and its citizens.

The Committee prepares an annual service plan, including a budget, and presents it as a recommendation to Council of the Rural Municipality for approval. The service plan may include maintenance of existing services, improvement/expansion of services and other projects.

Regular meetings of the Committee will be held at 6:30 p.m. at 152 MacDonald Avenue in Warren, on the second and fourth Monday of every month from January to April.  The remainder of the year (May to December) meetings are held on the second Monday. If the day fixed for the regular meeting of the Committee is a general holiday, the meeting shall be held on the next regularly scheduled Monday, which is not a holiday, at the same time and place. The Committee may by resolution vary the date and time of a regular meeting as circumstances may require.
